ReplyDeleteBarbara, I've been giving this some thought and I suspect that she has had an amputation from being thrown under the bus by one of the other backstabbing "Patio Belles." Do you see how one of them has her leg out like she means to trip her?

I'd like a house dress or two to lounge in during this triple digit heat. Throw in a couple Valium and I'd be set.....drooling in my house dress propped in front of the fan. Fun!
ReplyDeleteMe too, MC Madam. I fantasize about calling the number on the catalogue and someone from Sears is still answering that number and is willing to take my order for a patio dress. I'd wait every day for it to arrive in the mail, and when it came in I'd put it on and never take it off. And my fantasy doctor would be willing to refill my prescription for Valium whenever I called him, too! Maybe he'd even deliver it.

ReplyDeleteMCM: I tried to find a cotton nightie yesterday to wear in this sweltering heat - couldn't find one anywhere that was just plain cotton. At this point, with the help of the little yellow pills, I will accept a house dress, if only to be able to cool my nether regions - shorts are too hot!
I found cotton nighties at the red menace (Target) this week. They came in grey, pink and burgundy. They also had cami/pj sets that coordinated. I've been wearing the grey nightgown almost non-stop this weekend. It's hot here!
