Hello, friends.
Hopefully this Labor Day finds you relaxing comfortably at home and not stuck at work somewhere. Meredith and I will be enjoying a fine cookout with our families a little later, where we will raise a Shiner and eat some charred goodness in recognition of the collective hard work of all Americans. But especially ours. Because keeping it all together while working 40 hours a week ain't easy, people. Are you with me?
In the time-honored tradition of the holiday grill extravaganza, I've pulled a few products together to give yours that extra touch of retro class. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday!
Need recipe ideas? Why not consult an expert, as in Betty Crocker. This 1967 Better Homes and Gardens Barbecue Cook Book is a helpful resource! Set a lovely table on this awesome vintage daisy table cloth.
Here in Texas, grilling is serious business. Where you gonna keep your rub? In these great 1970s Tupperware containers, that's where.
And finally, what is a cookout without corn on the cob, speared on both ends and bathed in butter in its own plastic dish? Not much, I tell you.
