Wonderful Windsor Park
Windsor Park is a great neighborhood in Central East Austin. Located just minutes from the University of Texas, our 'hood boasts some beautiful 50s/60s ranch homes, many of which have survived those awful renovations where they rip out the beautiful pink bathroom tile and replace it with travertine tile from Home Depot. This is (was) the last affordable neighborhood close to downtown. We have great parks, donuts and taco joints over here. It's great to see so many mid-century modern enthusiasts in Windsor Park grooving on these incredible architectural marvels. Here are a few examples:

ReplyDeleteWe live on Larkwood and aspire to make our house groovy some day. I love what the owners have done with that one in the 4th picture--I remember when that house had white bricks with maroon grout. It looks so nice now.
